Join us on a six-week journey through the fundamentals, via an exploration of the main energy enters that govern our practice and being-ness. Experience the chakras as a means to know yourself in a more complete way, and use this understanding to enhance your relationships in the world. Discover an accessible and universal approach to the chakra system within vinyasa yoga, in a way that accesses the essential truths of our energetic body, to live in greater alignment with our authentic flow.
Open to newbies and intermediate students alike, these classes will include a full spectrum practice dedicated to healing and activating these energy powerhouses. Incorporating asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), dharana (meditation), nadam (sound), mantra (chanting), partner work, yoga philosophy and vinyasa (intelligent progressive sequencing), this series will guide you on the path to self-discovery, healing and personal growth while offering a sense of confidence and ease in any open class. Although you are encouraged to take the whole course, drop-ins will be welcome. Classes can be in English, Greek, or a combination thereof :)

April 21st: Back to the Roots || Muladhara – Root. Bija (seed) mantra: “LAM”. Element: Earth. Muladhara connects us to our bodies and the physical plane. Themes: Self-acceptance, santosha (contentment), survival. Trusting that we already have everything we need. Asana: Standing & Balancing.
April 28th: Embody the Flow || Swadhisthana – One’s own abode. “VAM”. Sacral chakra. Ovaries/prostate. Element: Water. Swadisthana connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation & movement. Creativity, enjoyment, emotion, Brahmacharya (continence/moderation), self-gratification. Asana: Hip Stabilizing & Hamstring Opening.
May 5th: Light my Fire || Manipura – City of jewels. “RAM”. Solar plexus/navel center. Pancreas gland. Element: Fire. Manipura radiates and distributes prana (life force) throughout the body. Commitment, willpower, tapas (fiery discipline), self-definition. The will to keep going. Asana: Detoxifying Twists & Strong Core.
May 12th: Open your Heart || Anahata – Unstruck sound. “YAM”. Heart chakra. Thymus gland. Element: Air. Related to love and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche. Compassion, relationship, ahimsa (non-violence), self-acceptance. Creating abundance of love. Asana: Opening Shoulders & Hips for Joyful Backbends.
May 19th: True Purity || Vishuddha – Purification. “HAM”. Thyroid gland. Element: Ether. Exploring the world symbolically through vibration & sound. Satya (truth), self-expression. Speaking and acting authentically. Asana: Neck Release & Strengthening.
May 26th: Clear Vision || Ajna – Third eye. “OM”. Pituitary gland. Seeing, both physically and intuitively. Intuition, imagination, self-reflection (swadhyaya). Cultivating deep insight. Asana: Inversions.
June 2nd: Integration || Sahasrara – Thousand-petaled lotus. Silence. Crown of the head. Pineal gland. Sat cit ananda- Consciousness, pure awareness, boundless bliss. Surrendering to a higher power (Ishwara pranidhana).
